Canada: up, up and away…
FRA > YOW: impressions from the flight from Frankfurt to Ottawa, passing over Scotland, Greenland and Labrador
I have arrived in Ottawa yesterday – but until now more physically than mentally… it is still irreal to be back – and also stangely familiar as I am staying with friends with whom I have been in close contact since I left in April 2010.
Leaving was not an easy thing: Since I am in a relationship it has been a chaos of emotions to go on a residency, a confusing combination of the sadness of leaving my beloved and the anticipation of new horizons. This was easier when I was single… But these emotional troubles make the decision to consider travelling as a core activity of my artistic parctice even more emphatic.
